Volume 1
The Jormungand manga was serialised in Monthly Sunday Gene-X magazine, which is published by Shogakukan, from May 2006 through January 2012. It consists of 70 total chapters collected in 11 tankōbon, the last of which was published in April 2012. Volume 5 and Volume 9 were also published as special editions which included the Ricochet mini art book and drama CD, respectively.
Two adaptations of the manga exist:
- Drama CD Musica Ex Machina, an audio drama CD of the Musica Ex Machina Arc, released with a special edition of Volume 9
- an anime adaptation comprising two seasons and 24 total episodes, which aired in 2012.
Viz Media, which is co-owned by Shogakukan, began publishing the manga in English in November 2009.
